PRESOV OPEN 2009 – SLOVAKIA

The 7th Presov Open was held from 14th – to 15th March, 2009, in Presov, East Slovakia. 20 clubs attended the event, from countries including Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Slovakia.

221 junior and senior competitors took part in the two-day tournament, in patterns, sparring, power breaking and special technique, held in the City Sports Hall of Presov.

On Saturday was the competition for all categories in patterns. Competition continued with sparring for seniors and juniors older and with special technics. On Sunday was sparring for juniors younger and children, some special technics and power breaking.

The Grand Finals were held in the Saturday evening, with show in the administration of sport gymnastic group from SC Polytrade, beautiful dancer Mia Sabah, dance group DC Spirit, fitmaker Marek Namespetra with Martina Hornakova and Taekwon-Do show was presented by SC TKD Ge-baek Presov.

We had the great honor to welcome athletes, multiple masters of Europe, World: Ilona Dziala, Daniel Dziala, Kateryna Solovey, Róbert Škop....Master Jerzy Jedut 7. Dan, general secretary of All Europe Taekwon-Do Federation took part in Presov Open too. We would like to thank him for his time and participation.

The tournament was held under the honor patronage of Mr. Pavel Hagyari, Lord mayor of Presov City.

Domestic club -The Sport club TKD Ge-baek Presov became the most successful clubs in the tournament. Monor-Tápiómenti SE TKD from Hungary was a close second. At the third place, just behind MUKS "Stoczek 45" Bialystok from Poland.
